Lazio regional court overturns bingo concession extension measures in Italy
The Lazio regional administrative court accepted three bingo concessionaires’ challenges and annulled measures implementing Italy’s concession extensions, according to the report. The court said the flat-fee approach was incompatible with EU rules; operators must still pay compensation for the 2023–2024 period, recalculated by ADM with regard to individual turnover and other factors. ADM is to determine the amounts through further decisions.
ADM must recalculate concessionaires’ payments for 2023–2024 rather than apply a uniform flat charge.
