KSA warns Smart Gaming over Betnation CRUKS check failures

Enforcement & compliance

The Netherlands’ KSA issued a formal warning to Smart Gaming after Betnation failed to check players against the CRUKS self-exclusion register between January and March. A technical fault let at least one registered person gamble on the platform. Smart Gaming reported the incident, manually checked affected players, paid compensation and introduced measures to prevent a recurrence.

Licensed operators are responsible for functioning CRUKS checks, and failures can allow self-excluded players to gamble.
