KSA warns Smart Gaming over missed Cruks checks in the Netherlands

Enforcement & compliance

The KSA warned Smart Gaming, which operates as Betnation, over failures to check the Dutch Cruks self-exclusion register between January and March 2026. The regulator said some players were able to gamble without checks, including at least one confirmed registered player. It issued a formal warning without further sanctions after the company reported and corrected the technical fault.

Operators must ensure Cruks checks work before customers can access gambling services.
