Italy’s Guardia di Finanza reports gambling enforcement activity through May 2026
Italy’s Guardia di Finanza reported gambling and betting enforcement activity for 1 January 2025 to 31 May 2026. In Rome, it recorded 316 interventions in the state-monopoly sector, 82 irregular cases and 87 violations, with about €300,000 in sanctions. It also reported two illegal websites blocked and about €23 million in taxes identified as falling outside the tax authority’s remit.
The reported checks, violations and tax findings help operators and regulators understand enforcement activity across Italy.
