Police in Como found minors inside a gaming hall during checks on local premises. The checks were stepped up around Halloween 2026 and covered several municipalities in the province. They targeted gaming halls, betting shops, bars, restaurants and other public establishments.

The operation was coordinated by the administrative and security police division of the Como Questura. The Guardia di Finanza's Como group took part, with particular attention to tax matters and the regularity of employment relationships. The checks aimed to verify that the activities actually carried out matched those authorised.

According to the report, the checks uncovered several irregularities that led to administrative sanctions for significant amounts. Case files were also passed to the competent bodies for possible further measures.

The report says the Questura's supervision is not limited to special operations tied to particular occasions but forms part of a wider, ongoing monitoring programme. The state police said they will continue targeted checks across the province of Como.
