Estonian parliament approves gambling tax cut from 6% to 4%

Regulation

Estonia’s Riigikogu approved a reduction in gambling tax from 6% to 4%, with 51 votes in favour and 31 against. The change forms part of efforts to attract international operators, while the Finance Ministry warned that tax income could fall by up to EUR 13 million by 2029.

The lower rate changes operators’ tax costs, while the ministry’s forecast signals potential fiscal and oversight concerns.
