VNLOK says Dutch gambling tax changes cut 2025 online tax revenue by €43.5m
Dutch trade body VNLOK said its sector analysis found €43.5 million less tax was paid on online gambling in 2025 than in 2024. The gambling tax rate rose from 30.5% to 34.2% in 2025 and is due to reach 37.8% in 2026; VNLOK and other groups have asked lawmakers to seek an evaluation by the second quarter of 2026.
The reported revenue fall and proposed review could inform Dutch lawmakers’ decisions on gambling tax policy.
