Citizens analyst forecasts $1.5bn in Super Bowl betting, down 2%
Citizens Equity Research analyst Jordan Bender forecast legal Super Bowl 60 betting of $1.5 billion, a 2% year-on-year fall. He said last year’s operator hold of about 17% would make comparisons difficult, while Missouri is the only new state market included. Bender also said prediction-market activity could put pressure on legal sportsbook handle.
The forecast gives operators an estimate of potential Super Bowl handle and promotional spending conditions.
