AGA forecasts $1.76bn in US Super Bowl wagers
The American Gaming Association forecast that legal US sports betting would generate $1.76bn in wagers on the Super Bowl scheduled for 8 February. The estimate, announced on 30 January, is almost 27% higher than the previous year’s figure. The AGA also cited survey findings on prediction-market users’ awareness of dispute options and access to responsible gambling tools.
The forecast gives operators and suppliers an estimate of wagering demand around a major US sports event.
