Chile orders telecoms to block 37 online gambling domains

Enforcement & compliance

Chile’s Subtel instructed internet providers to block 37 domains, subdomains and mirror sites linked to online betting and gambling platforms after validation by the SCJ. Providers have 48 hours from notification to apply DNS blocks, then must confirm compliance to the Santiago Court of Appeals and notify Subtel of the implementation time.

Affected providers and gambling platforms face a defined blocking deadline and court compliance reporting in Chile.
