CFTC agrees data-sharing deal with NHL on prediction markets
The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the National Hockey League have agreed a memorandum of understanding on prediction markets. The CFTC said the arrangement is intended to support information-sharing and protect the integrity of professional hockey and related event contracts. The agreement follows a similar CFTC deal with Major League Baseball, according to reports.
The agreement gives regulators and the league a channel to share information and protect hockey event-contract integrity.
