AtlasIntel survey finds no respondents used FGTS advances for online betting

A survey commissioned by ABBC and Zetta found that none of 4,243 respondents who had worked in Brazil’s formal labour market said they used FGTS advance funds for online betting. Conducted from 16 to 23 November 2025, the survey examined use of the funds after new restrictions took effect in November 2025.

The survey found no reported use of FGTS advance funds for online betting among respondents, bearing on restrictions’ rationale.

A Palver survey in Brazil found that 65% of respondents supported fixed-odds betting, while 1% said the ban could change their presidential vote. Conducted online from 24 to 27 September, the survey also found that 52% said the measure would not affect their vote; some responses preceded the government’s announcement on 25 September.
