Regulation

A Datafolha survey found that 7% of Brazilian voters aged 18 or older currently gamble or play online casino games, unchanged from November 2024. Conducted on 20 and 21 May 2026 among 2,004 voters in 139 cities, it also found that 35% of respondents who gamble had previously compromised their finances to do so, down from 44% in 2024. Average monthly online casino spending fell to R$232 from R$354.

The findings give operators and regulators updated measures of participation and reported financial strain among Brazilian voters.
