Locomotiva survey finds 77% of Brazilian bettors report irregular conduct

Regulation

A survey by Instituto Locomotiva found that 77% of sports bettors in Brazil reported at least one irregular betting practice during the three months before data collection. Half said they had engaged in at least two practices prohibited under rules cited in the report, including using platforms without the bet.br domain or depositing by credit card. The results were released on 11 August, according to the report.

The survey figures indicate continued use of betting practices that the cited rules prohibit, a concern for market enforcement.
