Alberta says iGaming launch could precede next NFL season

Licences & markets

Alberta Minister Dale Nally said a double-digit number of operators had expressed interest in applying for licences under the province’s planned iGaming framework. Alberta is preparing for a 2026 launch, potentially before the next NFL season, but has not set an exact date; applicants would pay a $50,000 application fee and a $150,000 annual registration fee.

Prospective operators can use the stated fees and tentative launch timing to assess entry into Alberta’s planned iGaming market.
