Wisconsin Senate approves tribal-exclusivity online sports betting bill

Regulation

Wisconsin’s Senate voted 21-12 to approve AB601 on Tuesday, sending the bill to Governor Tony Evers after the Assembly passed it last month. The proposal would allow residents to place online bets using mobile or other electronic devices if the server is located on tribal lands. A spokesperson for Evers previously said he was likely to sign such a bill if it was passed in consultation with Wisconsin tribes.

If enacted, the bill would establish tribal-land server requirements for online sports betting in Wisconsin.
