UK Gambling Commission fines Videoslots £650,000 over control failures

Enforcement & compliance

The UK Gambling Commission fined Videoslots £650,000, issued a warning and required an independent audit after finding weaknesses in customer monitoring and anti-money laundering controls. The regulator said monthly deposit limits failed to account for initial deposits, while risk checks and source-of-funds reviews were not carried out effectively or promptly.

Operators must assess whether comparable deposit-limit, customer-risk and payment controls meet licence requirements.
