Isle of Man commission fines Shelgeyr £200,000 over AML failures
The Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission fined Shelgeyr Limited £200,000 following an investigation into anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing controls. The regulator cited failures including inadequate customer checks, record-keeping and staff training; it said Shelgeyr admitted the issues and cooperated, and noted that the company surrendered its licence in 2024.
The findings and penalty show the compliance failures the commission identified at a former Isle of Man licensee.
