SPA-MF changes Caixa lottery prize rules and adds approval controls in Brazil

Regulation

Brazil’s SPA-MF issued Portaria 2.755/2026 on 21 September, replacing the rules for nine Caixa-operated lottery games. The changes let Caixa set prize distributions between winning tiers, subject to prior SPA-MF approval, and make themed special draws optional. The report also identifies a possible drafting error affecting Mega-Sena multiple bets.

Caixa must obtain prior SPA-MF approval before changing prize rules across the nine lottery games.
