Brazil measure bars fixed-odds betting ads, while Loterias CAIXA remains exempt

Regulation

Brazil’s Provisional Measure 1,394 prohibits fixed-odds betting operations and advertising, and requires sponsorship signs to be removed within 10 days, according to the report. It says operator authorisations are to end within 30 days, while other lottery products, including Loterias CAIXA, are exempt; CAIXA said it has advertised on CazéTV since 2024.

The measure changes advertising and sponsorship conditions for betting operators while leaving other authorised lottery products outside the restriction.
