RiskCherry said it received five regulatory approvals in three months, most recently joining the authorised testing-body register in Argentina’s Santa Fe province. The company also reported approvals in Bulgaria, Colombia and Croatia, and said it now has coverage in 24 regulated markets globally.

Alberta’s regulated online gaming market opened on 13 July 2026, with Altenar, Pragmatic Play and Tonybet announcing moves into the province. Altenar said it had secured approval from the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission; Pragmatic Play said its products were certified, while Tonybet announced it had received an iGaming licence from the commission.
Coolbet will end service in Alberta ahead of the province’s regulated commercial iGaming market launch on 13 July, according to a notice on the company’s website. It has stopped accepting new registrations and deposits; access will end on 12 July, and customers can withdraw remaining balances until 31 August. Coolbet said regulatory changes prompted the exit.
Experts said New Brunswick and Nova Scotia were exploring expansion of regulated online gambling beyond the Atlantic Lottery Corporation, while Quebec could take two to three years to launch a market. Segev LLP founding partner Ron Segev said Alberta’s launch had added momentum to provincial discussions. The Supreme Court of Canada is also due to decide whether Ontario and Alberta may connect player pools with international jurisdictions for peer-to-peer games.

Continent 8 Technologies and FuturePath AI have launched joint venture Future8 to provide AI services for regulated iGaming operators, the companies said. Its offerings are planned to include readiness assessments, managed services and platform subscriptions, with deployment options spanning Continent 8 facilities, public clouds and operator-owned environments.
It was reported that Betano, Betsala, Estelarbet, Juegalo and Novibet formed AGR in Chile. The association seeks a licensing framework, consumer safeguards and cooperation with authorities on regulation.
