PokerStars to return PokerStars Open to Campione in January 2027

PokerStars announced that the PokerStars Open at Campione d'Italia will return from 8 to 17 January 2027, opening the company's 2027 live events season. The festival will be held at the PokerStars Live Room at the Casinò di Campione d'Italia, the company said.

The Main Event is the PokerStars Open Main Event, with a €1,250 buy-in. The full programme and further details of the other competitions on the schedule will be announced later, according to the announcement.

The 2026 edition of the Main Event recorded 1,582 entries and a total prize pool of €1,518,720, the company said. The announcement also referred to the recent Sunday Million Live, which brought one of the online poker formats to a live setting.

Germano Martucci, PokerStars Italy Customer Acquisition Director, said: "Siamo entusiasti di riportare il PokerStars Open a Campione e di inaugurare la stagione live 2027 con uno dei festival più attesi dai giocatori di poker sportivo." He said results from previous editions and the recent Sunday Million Live confirmed Campione's appeal for live poker, and that players from across Italy and abroad would be welcomed.

Qualification for the PokerStars Open Campione will begin in the coming weeks, offering players various ways to secure a place at the festival, according to the announcement. Further dates on the PokerStars LIVE 2027 calendar will be announced later.
