EGR Italy Awards 2026 names QuiGioco omnichannel operator and ADMIRAL Pay payments supplier

The EGR Italy Awards 2026 were held on 20 October at the Rome Cavalieri, where QuiGioco was named Omnichannel Operator and ADMIRAL Pay won the Payments Supplier category. Sisal received awards in several operator categories, and PokerStars, Evolution, Light & Wonder, Playtech, Sportradar and Pragmatic Play were among those recognised during the evening, according to the same report.

It was reported that the NOVOMATIC Italia ecosystem had 10 nominations in total across different companies in the group. The report said ADMIRAL Pay's award was also considered in light of the development of APay, the company's digital wallet.

Commentator Jokerman79, described by Jamma as long engaged in analysing operators' strategies and new developments, said the awards gave an interesting picture of the Italian market. He said competition no longer rests only on the breadth of the offering but increasingly on the ability to innovate and differentiate.

On QuiGioco, Jokerman79 said he had examined several initiatives the operator introduced, including Slot Supreme and Spinny and other solutions aimed at personalising the playing experience. He said the projects showed a willingness to offer something different from the traditional offering.

He said innovation is often associated only with new games or platform features, while the services accompanying the user experience are also important. He said APay deserved attention for the opportunities offered by integrating digital services with the local territory.

Jokerman79 said awards are important but that the real test remains the user's daily experience, and that what counts is how platform features are perceived and used. He said he seeks to highlight what works and what can be improved while keeping an independent judgment, without being influenced by a brand's prominence.

He concluded that the future of gaming will not necessarily depend only on new products but also on the ability to make the user experience simpler, more complete and more functional, and said this was why he considered the awards to QuiGioco and ADMIRAL Pay interesting.
