Ontario ends MGE Niagara Entertainment’s casino exclusivity in Niagara

Ontario has reached an agreement with MGE Niagara Entertainment to end its casino exclusivity in Niagara Falls, a decision welcomed by Mayor Jim Diodati. MGE will continue operating Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort and Casino Niagara, while the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation plans to begin a procurement process later this year for potential operators.

The planned procurement could open Niagara’s casino market to competing operators while MGE retains its two existing venues.

Lotería del Chubut invited bids to operate the Esquel casino and its adjoining venue, with offers due to open in Rawson on 19 November 2026 at 11:00.
