Ontario agrees with MGE to end Niagara gaming exclusivity
Ontario’s government announced an agreement with MGE Niagara Entertainment to end the company’s exclusive gaming rights in the Niagara region. The province said the move forms part of its Destination Niagara Strategy. The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation plans to start a procurement process later this year to identify potential operators.
Ending exclusivity allows Ontario to seek additional gaming operators for the Niagara region through a planned procurement.
