Northern Territory commission fines Sportsbet A$313,140 over customer statements

Enforcement & compliance

The Northern Territory Racing and Wagering Commission fined Sportsbet A$313,140 for failing to provide activity statements to more than 6,000 customers between November 2022 and April 2024. The commission said the failures resulted in more than 50,000 contraventions; it rejected Sportsbet’s argument that the breaches should count as one contravention.

The penalty concerns required customer activity statements used to help bettors monitor their wagering.
