AUSTRAC closed its enforceable undertaking with Sportsbet after the bookmaker completed the required anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing remediation. The undertaking, accepted in May 2024, covered five areas, and an external auditor’s independent assurance confirmed the required measures were implemented, AUSTRAC said.

Australia’s AUSTRAC said bet365 entered a legally binding enforceable undertaking on 6 July after an investigation triggered by an independent audit. The undertaking requires the company to improve risk assessments and the detection and reporting of suspicious transactions; breaches may lead to civil penalties.
Betr will operate under a Tasmanian Liquor and Gaming Commission licence from 7 July 2026, following an assessment that awarded it one of three available licences. Counsel assisting the coroner argued the materials were generic.
Australia’s ACMA has published an April 2026 report on how licensed online gambling providers use artificial intelligence.
