Nevada judge bars Polymarket event contracts for 14 days

Enforcement & compliance

A Nevada judge issued a temporary restraining order barring Polymarket from offering event contracts in the state for an initial 14 days, according to reports on the ruling. The Nevada Gaming Control Board had filed a civil enforcement action against Blockratize, arguing that the contracts are wagers requiring state licences. The court said the regulator was reasonably likely to succeed on the central legal issue; Polymarket planned to oppose the order.

The order temporarily prevents Polymarket from offering event contracts in Nevada while the enforcement case proceeds.
