Nevada gaming board arrests suspect in Fresno State betting probe

Enforcement & compliance

Nevada authorities arrested one suspect on 5 May in an investigation linked to betting on Fresno State basketball, the Nevada Gaming Control Board said. Investigators allege individuals used advance knowledge of a player’s performance in a 7 January 2025 game to profit from prop bets; the suspect faces fraud, gambling-cheating conspiracy and money-laundering conspiracy charges. The board said the investigation remains active and further arrests are expected.
