Massachusetts judge delays sports betting injunction against Kalshi

Regulation

A Massachusetts judge delayed enforcement of a preliminary injunction that would prevent Kalshi from offering sports-event contracts while the state’s case proceeds. Judge Christopher K. Barry-Smith set 4 February for draft orders and said he would consider Kalshi’s request to stay the injunction during an appeal; Attorney General Andrea Campbell said the ruling supported state oversight.

The delay leaves Kalshi’s operating status in Massachusetts subject to the court’s next orders and appeal process.
