Massachusetts judge grants preliminary injunction against Kalshi sports contracts
Suffolk County Superior Court Judge Christopher Barry-Smith granted Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Campbell’s request for a preliminary injunction against Kalshi’s sports contracts. The order is due to take effect on Friday, and Kalshi may appeal; the company had not responded to a request for comment at publication.
The injunction could require Kalshi to stop offering sports contracts in Massachusetts unless it obtains a sports betting licence.
