Massachusetts court keeps Kalshi sports-contract injunction in place
A Massachusetts Superior Court judge rejected Kalshi’s request to pause an injunction ordering it to stop selling sports event contracts in the state within 30 days. Kalshi said it considers the contracts financial instruments and plans to challenge the injunction on appeal; the company reported more than $900 million in Super Bowl market trading volume.
The ruling requires Kalshi to stop sports event contract sales in Massachusetts unless its appeal changes the injunction.
