LottoItalia, a Brightstar Lottery subsidiary, signed an agreement to operate the Italy Lotto until November 2034. The consortium led by Brightstar and comprising Allwyn, Arianna 2001 and Novomatic Italia received the licence award from ADM in July after a competitive bid process.
The agreement continues the consortium’s operation of Italy Lotto through November 2034.

Brightstar Lottery COO Marco Tasso said the company aims to enter Austria as a lottery operator and technology supplier when licences are reassigned. The report says the proposed reform could take effect on 1 January 2027, with licence awards expected later that year; Brightstar is among several potential competitors.
Reportedly, Instant Win Gaming has agreed a six-year contract with Michigan Lottery. The agreement runs to July 2032, extending a relationship that began in 2016. IWG supplies eInstant games through its InstantRGS platform.
The São Paulo lottery began offering online instant games on 1 July through a platform operated by the SP Loterias consortium, which includes Scientific Games and Brightstar Lottery. The consortium paid BRL 526 million for a 15-year concession, while ARSESP said the contract excludes unregulated formats including casinos and slot machines.
FDJ United is interested in competing for Austria’s lottery licence, Giovanna D’Esposito, its chief international lotteries officer, said. She said the company’s participation would depend on the tender terms and that it was in advanced talks with two or three potential partners. The tender is expected this autumn, with bidders required to pay €40 million to enter.
