Los Ángeles municipal security officials and Carabineros closed an unauthorised casino in the centre of the Chilean commune and seized 55 slot machines. The municipality said the machines would remain in custody and that inspections of illegal gaming venues would continue.

It was reported that Antofagasta municipal officials and police closed two illegal casinos. The venues operated more than 100 machines without required authorisations.
Authorities in Linares, Chile, carried out inspections at venues suspected of operating illegal casinos, the provincial delegate said. Three of the four inspected venues received citations and must provide information about reported irregularities involving gaming machines.
Chilean authorities said they dismantled a network operating at least 26 illegal casinos in the Metropolitan Region and arrested 37 people. Four detainees were placed in pre-trial detention; authorities said the operation generated more than US$70,000 a day, and investigators are examining possible money laundering, smuggling and illegal weapons offences.
Temuco municipality said it secured convictions against two operators of illegal gambling venues in Chile, along with the destruction of 130 gaming machines. It also reported the seizure of more than CLP 14 million for the state treasury, following coordination with prosecutors, police and other agencies.
The Ohio Casino Control Commission and Highland County Sheriff’s Office seized 63 slot machines from a Greenfield business during a joint operation, according to the commission. Authorities had investigated the site after receiving complaints about unlicensed gambling machines and also seized an undisclosed amount of money. The commission said it would continue working with law enforcement on illegal gambling cases.
After the Ohio Casino Control Commission teamed up with the Highland County Sheriff’s Office, 63 illegal slot machines were confiscated. Investigators had already been looking into a Greenfield business over suspected unlawful gambling, and that is where the devices turned up. The site sits along State Route 753, but officials have kept its precise name private.
