Atacama authorities close illegal casino and seize 13 slot machines
The Atacama prosecutor’s office and Chile’s Investigative Police closed an illegal casino in Tierra Amarilla and seized 13 slot machines during a joint operation, according to the report. Prosecutor Sebastián Coya said a person under investigation would face charges including drug trafficking, firearms offences and customs-related offences concerning the machines.
The operation removes an illegal gambling venue and places its alleged operation within a criminal investigation.
