KSA fines Vave.com operator €3.082m for unlicensed Dutch gambling

Enforcement & compliance

The Netherlands’ Gambling Authority (KSA) fined Chestoption Sociedad de Responsibilidad Limitada, which operates Vave.com, €3,082,000 for offering gambling without a Dutch licence. The KSA said the site used Dutch-language advertising, had no measures to block Dutch players, lacked age checks and offered autoplay and cryptocurrency gambling. The regulator said only licensed operators may provide gambling in the Netherlands.

The penalty and cited restrictions signal enforcement risks for operators targeting Dutch customers without local authorisation.
