Italy’s Council of State rejects Allstar’s bid over closed betting shop
Italy’s Council of State rejected Allstar’s request to suspend a Lazio regional administrative court ruling in its dispute with Operbingo Italia. At this interim stage, the court upheld the view that a betting shop closed for more than two and a half years could not qualify as an already existing gaming venue; other regional-law requirements may be considered at the merits hearing.
The interim ruling affects whether long-closed betting shops can qualify for protections reserved for existing venues.
