ISS study finds behavioural risks among Italian students aged 11 to 17

Regulation

Italy’s Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS) reported that more than one in six students aged 11 to 17 showed at least one risk behaviour involving social media, gaming or gambling. Its survey, conducted from October to December 2025 across 198 schools and involving more than 18,000 students, found gaming-related risk profiles were more common among those aged 11 to 13 than among 14-to-17-year-olds.

The findings include underage gambling and gaming risks relevant to regulators and operators assessing youth protections.
