FAIR-Ipsos study finds 21% recall responsible-gambling campaigns in Italy

Regulation

A FAIR-Ipsos study presented in Rome found that 80% of surveyed Italians considered communication important or fundamental to preventing gambling-related disorders, while 21% recalled a responsible-gambling campaign in the past year. The study surveyed 1,000 people aged 18 to 70 and interviewed 30 opinion leaders; 44% rated the sector's development over the previous one or two years negatively.

The findings give operators and policymakers evidence on public views of prevention messaging and the sector's direction.
