Ireland's ASA bans two Tonybet adverts over income claims

Regulation

Ireland’s Advertising Standards Authority banned two Tonybet adverts after finding they suggested gambling could provide income and risk financial harm. Tonybet said human error and missing compliance checks led to the adverts appearing, and attributed one to a third-party marketing agency. The authority ordered the YouTube adverts removed and said the second must not be shown again.

Tonybet must remove the adverts and avoid repeating claims that gambling can provide income.
