Illinois Gaming Board warns 65 online operators over unlicensed gambling
The Illinois Gaming Board said it sent cease-and-desist letters to 65 online operators, working with the state Attorney General’s Office. The letters demand that recipients block Illinois players and warn of possible civil or criminal penalties; the Board says it believes a recipient operated unlicensed sports wagering in the state.
The notices require affected operators to block Illinois residents or risk civil or criminal penalties.
