Illinois Gaming Board extends Bally's Chicago temporary casino deadline to 2027

Regulation

The Illinois Gaming Board authorised its administrator to give Bally's Chicago until 9 September 2027 to complete its permanent casino, extending the temporary venue's operating period. The extension follows state lawmakers' approval of authority for the board, but Senate Bill 3019 had not yet been signed by Governor JB Pritzker, according to the report.

The extension lets Bally's continue operating its temporary Chicago casino while construction of the permanent venue proceeds.
