Hong Kong police warn against betting on unauthorised overseas sites

Regulation

Hong Kong police warned football supporters that betting with local or overseas bookmakers outside authorised channels could breach the Gambling Ordinance. Police also advised residents not to use VPNs to access offshore betting sites.

The warning clarifies that overseas licensing does not exempt bettors in Hong Kong from local gambling laws.
