High Court orders New Lottery Corporation to pay lottery case costs
The High Court ordered The New Lottery Corporation to pay 75% of the Gambling Commission’s costs and 70% of Allwyn’s costs after dismissing the company’s claims on 17 April. The amount could reach £40 million, and the court refused permission to appeal the April judgment, the Commission said.
The costs order adds substantial potential financial consequences to the dismissed lottery licence claims.
