France proposes warning-message rules for monetisable digital gaming products

Regulation

France submitted a draft decision on gambling-risk warnings for companies offering games with monetisable digital items to the European Commission. It sets display requirements for the warning on JONUM interfaces, including a fixed homepage notice and a non-dismissible registration message shown for at least five seconds; the standstill period runs until 18 May 2026.

Affected operators would need to meet specific warning-display requirements if the proposal is adopted.
