European Commission approves French warning rules for monetisable digital games

Regulation

The European Commission approved France’s draft decision on technical requirements for gambling-risk warnings for companies offering games with monetisable digital items, the report said. The proposed rules specify warning placement and presentation on JONUM interfaces, including a fixed notice on selected pages and a temporary, non-interactive screen after registration. The draft follows a decree dated 4 February 2026.

Affected companies would need to adapt JONUM interfaces to meet the proposed warning-display requirements.
