Football Australia bans three players over spot-fixing cases

Enforcement & compliance

Football Australia banned Riku Danzaki for seven years and Clayton Lewis and Kearyn Baccus for four years each over spot-fixing, according to reports. The bans for Lewis and Baccus will each be reduced by 12 months if they complete 200 hours of unpaid football-related community service. The Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission is investigating Football Australia’s integrity framework.

The bans and regulator investigation affect football integrity controls linked to betting-related misconduct in Australia.
