West Kowloon Court convicts three in Hong Kong match-fixing case
West Kowloon Court convicted three people in a Hong Kong football match-fixing case involving games played between 2021 and 2023. Former Hong Kong Under-23 player Brian Fok was found guilty on five charges, while Fok, Luciano Silva da Silva and betting agent Waheed Mohammad were convicted of conspiracy to cheat at gambling. A fourth defendant was acquitted of one charge; sentencing is scheduled for 29 May, pending background reports.
The convictions and pending sentences affect sports-integrity enforcement around Hong Kong football and betting-related offences.
