São Paulo court creates three criminal courts to handle organised-crime cases
The São Paulo Court of Justice created three criminal courts in the state capital to handle cases involving organised crime, including links to illegal betting platforms used for money laundering. Supreme Court and National Council of Justice president Edson Fachin said measures were being discussed with the Central Bank to address the use of illegal betting and cryptocurrencies in money laundering.
The specialised courts will centralise cases involving illegal betting platforms and organised crime in São Paulo.
