Corporación Meier asks Chile court to suspend four casino permit tenders

Corporación Meier filed a new submission with Chile's Tribunal de Defensa de la Libre Competencia seeking suspension of casino operating permit tenders in Iquique, Viña del Mar, Coquimbo and Pucón. The offer process remained scheduled to begin on 11 August 2026, ahead of a 9 September hearing on technical tender conditions for Viña del Mar. Casino workers' union president Diego Valerio said employment continuity should be protected if a new operator enters.
